KUALA LUMPUR: Two boys, aged one-and-a-half and five, are believed to have been slashed to death by their maid before she committed suicide at their home in Taman Sri Putra, Sungai Buloh near here yesterday.
Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Junaidi Bujang said the incident was believed to have occurred between 8am and 6pm when their parents and other family members were not at home.
"The incident came to light at about 6pm after the victim's grandmother went home. She found the bodies of her younger grandson and the Indonesian maid in the maid's room.
"The body of the other five-year-old grandson was found on the top floor," he said.
He said initial police investigations showed the maid, aged 30, who had been working for the family for almost two years, was believed to have killed the two boys before killing herself by slashing her own neck.
Junaidi said there was no sign of a break-in and the four dogs reared by the family did not bark during the incident.
"All three bodies have been brought to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for post-mortem and we have found three knives believed to have been used in the murders," he said. – Bernama
