If you have suspicions, call the organisers in, Tun M tells IGP

PETALING JAYA: Call the organisers in for questioning, but do not accuse or blame them for what happened at the Nothing to Hide 2.0 forum, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pix) told the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
The former premier said it was unfair for the police chief to imply that the event organisers were guilty of not complying with police conditions, and challenged the cops to hear their side of the story.
"The police is of course free to question the organisers, but the IGP should not use threatening language against them. If the police have suspicions that the organisers are involved in wrongdoings, they can be called in for questioning.
"The riots were fully captured on video. The rioters' faces will help to identify who the rioters were and what they did," he posted on his blog today.
Khalid had, on Aug 16, said the forum organisers were responsible for the safety of those attending the Aug 13 event, and that they should have screened the participants before letting them into the hall.
Thirteen men have since been detained over the fracas.
Mahathir, who is Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia's (PPBM) chairman, also dismissed any possibilities that it was the party's youth wing Armada that was behind the ruckus that enfolded the forum.
"If they were, why should they riot when it was clear that the forum was not going in (Prime Minister) Najib's favour? Since they were obviously trying unsuccessfully to embarrass me, they just cannot be from the party I lead, and its youth wing, Armada," he said.
