PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is looking for businessman Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low, and another individual in its probe into SRC International Sdn Bhd, a former subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Low's last known address is 69, Tanjung Bungah Park, Tanjung Bungah, Penang.
The commission is also seeking Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil Nik Othman Arif Kamil, who is a director of SRC International that is under investigation over a RM42 million deposit into the bank accounts of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak.
Nik Faisal's last known address is No. 17 and No. 19, Jalan Tun Teja 35/16, Alam Impian, Shah Alam, Selangor.
Low has repeatedly been linked to 1MDB both here and abroad, most notably in the US where the country's Justice Department filed a civil forfeiture suit to recover assets believed to have been obtained using money stolen from 1MDB.
The case had been believed to be closed after former Attorney-General Tan Sri Apandi Ali insisted that there was no wrongdoing involved in the transaction, also coming to a similar conclusion regarding a RM2.6 billion "donation" to Najib's personal account.
However, the Pakatan Harapan government ordered fresh investigations into 1MDB and related scandals after winning the general election.
The MACC has already interviewed Najib twice and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, once this week.
The commission also urged member of the public who have information or who may know the two individuals to come forward and contact investigating officer Rosli Husain at 03-88700529 or 010-3187757.
The public can also reach him by email at roslihusain@sprm.gov.my or walk into any MACC offices.
