BUKIT MERTAJAM: Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak has dismissed talk of a "Malay tsunami" against the incumbent federal government in the 14th General Elections.
The Communications and Multimedia Minister said Malay voters will not swing to the national opposition and will be casting their votes for Barisan Nasional (BN) and Umno.
The Umno supreme council member added the Chinese, Indian and other communities will also be backing the BN.
"What people want is the stability of the government of the day and the harmony between races," he said after opening the Umno Bukit Mertajam division annual general meeting today.
The Umno treasurer added his party will be explaining to voters that the party has no space for personal politics,
He said BN and his party will tell the Rakyat what they can do instead of squabbling over who gets to be the prime minister.
For Penang, Salleh Said discussions will be held with the state BN on programs and policies it plans to introduces if it wins the state.
"The people should be given the information to compare what they can expect from a BN government and the current one," he added.
