KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman today called for more conventions to be organised to promote the works of Imam Al-Ghazali.
He said such programmes were important as the society at all levels could deliberate and formulate an effective plan of action based on their knowledge about Imam Ghazali’s experiences and guidance.
"I believe by reviving the tradition of Islamic scholarship, Muslims could become the best example in further developing the country and nation," he said while opening an Imam Al-Ghazali convention here today.
His speech text was read out by Sabah Industrial Development Assistant Minister Datuk Bolkiah Ismail.
About 200 participants attended the convention organised by Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM) in collaboration with other departments and Islamic religious agencies, aimed at enlightening Muslims on the works of Imam Al-Ghazali which are relevant to Sunnah Wal Jamaah members. — Bernama
