Truck crash causes massive traffic jam on Penang Bridge

GEORGE TOWN: A 10 tonne truck laden with sand caused massive traffic congestion for more than 10km after it skidded and crashed at KM 7.6 of the Penang Bridge.
A PLUS spokesman said the accident happened during traffic peak hours at the Penang bound lane of the bridge and the route was blocked by the spillover from the heavy vehicle.
The traffic was at a standstill for over an hour, however theSun learnt that no one was injured during the incident.
At the time of writing efforts to clear the road were still underway.
