Inix Technology eyes turnaround with Macau tycoon at helm

PETALING JAYA: Hardware and software supplier Inix Technology Bhd is eyeing a turnaround in operations, after it appointed Macau multi billionaire Wan Kuok Koi as its new chairman.

The group also saw the emergence of two new shareholders last Friday – Datuk Tan Choon Hwa and Lee Han Keat – after they acquired 13.03 million shares and 16.2 million shares respectively in the company. Tan was also appointed as vice-chairman and Lee as executive director.

In a statement, Inix said Wan’s intention in taking charge was to to deploy his rubber glove business in Malaysia, while assisting the fight against Covid-19 pandemic worldwide.

“We are highly optimistic to turn the company around and improve the company’s business prospects in the near future. We are confident that our tripartite cooperation is bound to bring Inix to a greater height and thus, create value for Inix’s shareholders,” added Lee.

Wan is a well-known Hong Kong and Macau tycoon, while Tan currently sits on the board of Ikhmas Jaya Group Bhd, Nihsin Resources Bhd and Gunung Resources Sdn Bhd. Lee is the founder and chairman of Win Sky Group Sdn Bhd and is also a director at Fortunestar Development Sdn Bhd.
