Omesti bags a two-year contract from TM valued at RM95.6m

PETALING JAYA: Omesti Bhd secured a letter of award (LOA) from Telekom Malaysia for a business support system platform valued at RM95.59 million.

According to the group’s Bursa disclosure, the contract entails design, development, customisation, configuration, delivery, installation, integration, conversion, migration, testing, commissioning & training for the system for a period of two year commencing from fourteen days after the expiry of Malaysia’s movement control order (MCO).

It said that the platform will deploy Huawei Technologies’ business support system for the roll out of this platform.

Omesti’s executive director Chia Yong Wei stated that the award is a milestone achievement for the group.

“We view this as a long-term innovation partnership with this major client and look forward to enabling this cutting-edge solution for Malaysia’s national telco.

“Huawei’s business support system platform is regarded as best-in-class and will deliver a range of benefits for TM and its customers,” he said in a press release.

In accordance with the LOA, the renewal of the application software subscription for the third through fifth year has a total price of RM104.99 million.

It will be subject to TM‘s approval at the end of the initial two-year period and based on the number of verified active monthly subscribers.

Omesti highlighted that 5G support is a key feature of its platform, which a major enabler for digital transformation and the full implementation of smart, inter-connected solutions.

“This BSS technology also holds significant potential for achieving optimum efficiency and cost-savings in a range of sectors beyond telecommunications as more industries embrace IoT, cloud services and multiple device applications,” said Chia.
