A motorist was forced to pay toll twice when a delivery rider got stuck at a car lane booth, prompting calls to seek a refund with dashcam proof.
A Malaysian motorist recently shared their frustration after having to pay their toll fare twice after a motorcyclist was stuck at a toll gate.
According to a post on Reddit, the incident took place on Wednesday (10 December).
Dashcam footage attached to the post showed the motorcyclist, who is a delivery rider, entering the toll booth but ending up stuck behind the barrier after a black car passed through.

Moments later, the motorist who shared the post, drove into the toll booth and inadvertently paid for the motorcyclist’s fare.
When the driver attempted to pass through as well, the barrier did not lift, so they reversed and ultimately paid again for their own exit.
Netizens expressed sympathy for the driver’s frustration with the motorcyclist, noting that motorcyclists are not required to pay tolls in the first place. Many advised the driver to inform the toll operator’s customer service team about the incident.
“Sometimes I really don’t understand these riders and their need to use lanes meant for cars when there is a dedicated motorcycle lane to bypass the toll, which saves them both danger and toll charges. Yet, just to be a few seconds quicker, they use the toll lane and cause issues,” one user commented.
Meanwhile, another user suggested that the driver file a report with Touch ’n Go to request a refund and dispute the charges using the dashcam footage as evidence.
A separate commenter mentioned that there are often police roadblocks at the dedicated motorcycle lanes, speculating that this might have been the reason behind the motorcyclist’s actions.
