M’sian woman claims RM430 Raya outfit by high end local brand was missing from online order

A Malaysian woman claims her RM430 baju kurung was missing from an online parcel ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, leaving only a hanger and garment bag.

A Malaysian woman recently had the misfortune of allegedly not receiving her Hari Raya outfit from an online order, despite paying a substantial amount for it.

In a post on Threads, she shared a video showing the parcel already opened with its contents laid out. The package included a hanger, garment bag and duit raya envelopes, but the RM430 baju kurung was allegedly missing from the order.

“I had just been discharged from the hospital and was looking forward to spending Hari Raya with my family, all dressed up,” she said in her post.

In the comments section, she further alleged that the dust bag holding the hanger and garment bag was labelled only with the word “adult”, instead of the outfit’s specifications.

The woman also claimed that she had never encountered such an issue with the local brand before, having purchased items from its online store twice this year and previously in 2023.

The brand later released a statement regarding the matter, stating that several other customers had experienced similar issues. It added that an investigation would be conducted together with the courier service provider.

Finally, the woman updated in another Threads post that the local brand had reached out and alleged that the courier company had repackaged the order, resulting in the missing item.

Netizens also claimed to have experienced similar problems with the brand, while expressing shock at the price of the outfit.

Meanwhile, others questioned why the woman had not recorded a video while unboxing the parcel. She responded that she felt it was unnecessary, given her previous experiences purchasing from the website.
