Woman spits water all over SG MRT coach, passenger intervenes

A viral video shows a woman spitting water inside an MRT train, with a passenger stepping in to stop her behaviour.

A woman in Singapore recently went viral for spitting water inside an MRT coach, sparking widespread outrage.

In an Instagram post, the video shows the woman spitting water throughout the coach, while other passengers kept their distance to avoid being splashed.

Moments later, a female passenger approached the woman in an attempt to stop her behaviour.

However, the passenger claimed in the video that this was not the woman’s first time behaving this way.

Following the circulation of the video, netizens praised the female passenger who stepped in to intervene, while others speculated that the woman might be suffering from mental illness.

Some users also criticised other passengers in the MRT coach for standing by and watching as the woman was confronted.

“I hope the lady who stepped up gets some recognition for her efforts,” one user said.

“She probably has mental health issues. I believe she is going through a relapse. We never know the pain and difficulty they are dealing with themselves,” another remarked.

“She was the only one brave enough to do something while everyone else just stood by,” a netizen observed.

Meanwhile, Instagram page @sgfollowsall had previously posted another video of the same woman, who allegedly spat on another passenger in an MRT coach about a week earlier.
