SEREMBAN: A total of 106 public disinfection operations are scheduled to be carried out at the red, orange and yellow zones nationwide in the next 48 hours, according to Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Abdul Muttalib.
Ismail, who was monitoring a disinfection operation at the Seremban KTM station here, said the operations would involve over 1,500 Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department officers and staff.
To date, 85 areas involving the three zones across the country had been disinfected, he said.
“We hope the operation would be able to slow the spread of Covid-19 in the country,” he told reporters, here today.
Besides the station, today’s operations also focused on buildings in Seremban town.
Yesterday, disinfection operations were carried out in five locations namely Panchor Jaya in Ampangan, and Taman Desa Orkid, Taman Sri Pagi, Taman Desa Melor and Taman Desa Anggerik in Senawang. - Bernama
