PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has nabbed a married couple for allegedly taking bribes to help driving students pass their computerised driving tests.
According to New Straits Times, the 47-year-old man and his 43-year-old wife were arrested at 7pm on Monday (Oct 23) after they gave their statements at the MACC office.
It was discovered that the husband and wife charged candidates between RM400 and RM1,000 each to guarantee driving students pass the computerised driving tests to get their driving licence.
Johor MACC director Datuk Azmi Alias told New Straits Times that the case was being investigated under Section 16 (a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009.
He also reminded driving candidates that the computerised driving tests were meant to ensure they understood traffic laws and regulations before they were given a driving licence.
On Oct 22, three women were arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) yesterday for allegedly accepting bribes from driving school students sitting for the computer test.
