PUTRAJAYA: Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG) and Duopharma Biotech Bhd received the Prime Minister’s Award at the 2025 Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA).

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim presented the awards following his address at the Majlis Amanat Perdana Integriti Nasional (MAPIN).

The ceremony also marked the launch of National Integrity Month, observed every November.

Both organisations were recognised for embedding integrity, good governance and anti-corruption principles into their operations.

Each recipient received a certificate, trophy and RM50,000 in prize money.

MBPG Mayor Datin Paduka Hazlina Jalil said the council remains committed to upholding transparency and accountability.

“Former mayor Datuk Mustafa Kamal laid a solid foundation in governance and integrity,“ she told reporters.

“It is now my responsibility to build on that legacy and continuously enhance efficiency and transparency.”

She also expressed gratitude to previous leaders and MBPG staff for fostering a strong culture of integrity.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar attended the ceremony.

Also present were Public Service Department director-general Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz and Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa.
