KUALA LUMPUR: Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd will enhance its Rapid KL On-Demand van services by streamlining booking applications and expanding service zones starting next month.

Acting chief executive officer Ku Jamil Zakaria announced the consolidation of three existing booking apps into a single integrated application called Rapid On-Demand.

This streamlining will begin with zones currently using Mobi and Trek Rides apps on November 1, 2025.

Zones using the Kummute app will transition to the new platform in mid-November 2025.

Users will now require only one application for all Rapid On-Demand bookings across Rapid KL operated zones.

Ku Jamil stated this integration will create an easier, faster and more user-friendly travel experience.

Zone expansion will also be implemented in stages to improve connectivity for passengers.

The previous requirement for different apps based on zones created potential confusion for users.

The single app ensures a consistent booking process across all service areas.

New service zones will involve 50 vans connecting various key locations.

These include Metro Prima-Taman Botani Kepong stations and Serdang Raya Selatan-Taman Bukit Serdang stations.

Additional connections cover Semantan-Menara DBKL stations and Semantan-KTM Segambut stations.

Zone combinations aim to widen service accessibility and increase connectivity between important areas.

This initiative ensures users can travel to more destinations without changing services.

Public transport becomes a more efficient and user-friendly option through these improvements.

The Rapid On-Demand app is available for free download on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Existing users should switch to the new application before November 1 for uninterrupted service access.

Coverage zones and usage guidelines are available through Rapid KL’s official website.

Additional information can be obtained via Rapid KL’s official social media platforms. – Bernama
