A landslide at Bukit Paya Terubong in George Town damaged 12 vehicles but caused no injuries, with firemen assisting in relocation efforts.
GEORGE TOWN: A landslide struck Bukit Paya Terubong in Tingkat Paya Terubong 4 following heavy rainfall in the area.
Penang Fire and Rescue Department director Mohd Shoki Hamzah confirmed the incident occurred around 2.41 pm with no injuries or fatalities reported.
He stated the landslide likely happened during the afternoon downpour, sending soil from the 100-metre high hilltop sliding down with muddy water.
The landslide deposited mud and soil into a residential complex parking area while continuing rain caused water to overflow onto the road.
