Anwar’s commitment to Sabah boosts Moyog constituents’ aspirations

PM Anwar Ibrahim’s consistent Sabah presence and clear policies reinforce Moyog constituents’ development hopes, says PKR’s Ramanan.

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s steadfast commitment to Sabah has energised Moyog constituents’ aspirations for continued development and stable leadership.

PKR vice-president Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said Moyog residents seek leadership that unites communities and advances development aligned with Sabah’s competitive ambitions.

The Deputy Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister noted this confidence stems from Anwar’s regular Sabah visits, each bringing clear policies and development commitments.

“What we see today is a reflection of the people’s confidence in the MADANI Government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim,” Ramanan stated in a Facebook post.

He accompanied Pakatan Harapan candidate Remysta Jimmy Taylor to the Penampang Cultural Hall nomination centre amid nearly 1,000 supporters.

Ramanan thanked grassroots party machinery for their support throughout the nomination process.

The Moyog seat features a straight contest between PKR-PH and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah candidates.

Kapayan state seat has also emerged as a key battleground under the Penampang parliamentary constituency.

Warisan previously held Moyog, with Jenifer Lasimbang winning in 2018 and Derrel Liking in 2020.

The 17th Sabah State Election commenced with nominations at 25 centres for 73 state seats. – Bernama
