Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil congratulates Faizal Tahir on ‘Aku Berjanji’, the theme song for the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
KUALA LUMPUR: Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil has congratulated renowned singer and composer Faizal Tahir on the production of the song ‘Aku Berjanji’, which has been chosen as the theme song for the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) celebrations.
He said the song was performed for the first time at the launch of the 2026 National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign in Ipoh today.
“For the first time today, the theme song ‘Aku Berjanji’, composed and performed by Faizal Tahir, was performed. Congratulations Faizal on a song that carries messages of unity, togetherness and love for the country,” he said in a Facebook post.
He said the excitement for the HKHM celebrations was now being felt following the launch of the campaign by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Fahmi also called on all Malaysians to fly the Jalur Gemilang with pride and ensure that the flags displayed are in good condition and properly installed.
He reminded social media users to exercise caution when using artificial intelligence technology to generate images of the Jalur Gemilang, to prevent errors that could undermine the dignity of the national symbol.
