JPJ warns public about fake free driving licence ads on TikTok

The Sun Webdesk

JPJ denies viral TikTok ads offering free driving licences without tests, warns public against scams using ministry officials’ images.

PUTRAJAYA: The Road Transport Department has denied viral TikTok advertisements claiming to offer free driving licences without testing requirements.

The fraudulent advertisements used images of senior Transport Ministry officials, including secretary-general Datuk Seri Jana Santhiran Muniayan.

JPJ confirmed in a statement that both the advertisements and accounts promoting such offers are completely fake.

The department emphasised these scams have no connection with JPJ operations or officials.

Irresponsible parties are using official government images to mislead and deceive the public.

“Members of the public are advised not to be deceived by unauthorised advertisements or accounts to avoid confusion and losses,” JPJ stated.

The department urged people to verify any suspicious driving licence offers directly through official JPJ channels.

Complaints can be submitted via the JPJ Official Complaint Portal at https://jpj.spab.gov.my for immediate investigation. – Bernama

Malaysians embrace AI speed but still crave human connection, Zoom research finds

Malaysians are adopting artificial intelligence (AI) faster than many of their regional peers, valuing speed and efficiency while still insisting on the human touch when things get complex, according to Zoom’s latest AI Natives Research. The study found that 59% of Malaysians prioritise speed in digital interactions, and 63% would abandon a brand if responses were slow or unhelpful. Yet, 83% still prefer to speak to a human agent when situations become emotional, underscoring the need for empathy in the AI era. Zoom describes Malaysia as one of the most “AI-native” markets in Asia-Pacific, with nearly all respondents (98%) already using AI tools at work. As AI adoption grows, Zoom is also expanding its focus to frontline workers, introducing Zoom Workplace for Frontline — a mobile-first, AI-driven platform designed to boost productivity, streamline communication, and empower employees on the ground.
