Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim confirms the Kota Madani and Bandar Madani development projects are on track, featuring vertical schools and smart facilities.
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the Kota MADANI Putrajaya and Bandar MADANI Bukit Jalil projects are progressing as planned.
He stated the projects fully incorporate MADANI elements, including the concept of vertical schools and integrated community facilities.
Anwar shared this update following a briefing on key development projects in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya via a Facebook post.
Kota MADANI in Precinct 19 is planned to include 10,000 residential units, accommodating over 30,000 residents.
The development will also feature a secondary school and various public amenities.
Meanwhile, Bandar MADANI Bukit Jalil will offer smart homes, vertical schools, smart mobility, and renewable energy technology.
Anwar said redevelopment projects in several other strategic locations are also receiving close attention.
“I also looked into issues related to the construction of the MADANI Mosque and instructed that the construction process be expedited,” he said.
The MADANI Mosque on Jalan Masjid India, based on a Malaysian identity concept, can accommodate approximately 2,900 worshippers.
Its main prayer hall alone can hold 592 worshippers at one time.
The Prime Minister said the government remains focused on ensuring urban development directly benefits the people.
This covers infrastructure upgrades, modern facilities, and the preservation of urban identity and heritage.
“Insya-Allah, this integrated effort is part of our endeavour to build sustainable, inclusive, and progressive cities,” he said.
