No Malaysians affected by Typhoon Kalmaegi in Philippines

Malaysia confirms no citizens affected by Typhoon Kalmaegi as embassy monitors approaching Tropical Storm Fung-Wong in the Philippines.

KUALA LUMPUR: No Malaysians have been reported affected by Typhoon Kalmaegi that swept through the Philippines earlier this week.

The Foreign Ministry confirmed the embassy in Manila is closely monitoring the situation ahead of Tropical Storm Fung-Wong’s expected arrival.

Tropical Storm Fung-Wong currently carries maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near its centre with gusts up to 90 km/h.

The storm is moving northwest at 10 km/h and may reach super typhoon category by Saturday.

Typhoon Kalmaegi made landfall in the Visayas region on November 4, causing widespread flooding and casualties.

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared a national state of emergency following the extensive destruction.

The typhoon has killed 114 people and left 127 missing according to latest figures.

The Malaysian Foreign Ministry extended deepest condolences to the Philippine government and people.

Malaysians in affected areas are advised to remain vigilant and follow local authority guidance.

The ministry urged unregistered Malaysians to update their whereabouts via the eKonsular portal.

Consular assistance is available through the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila at +63 2 8662 8200. – Bernama

Alfa Romeo Marks the Quadrifoglio Legacy with Exclusive Giulia and Stelvio Collezione Models

Alfa Romeo has introduced two highly exclusive creations, the Giulia Quadrifoglio Collezione and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Collezione, developed in tribute to one of the brand’s most enduring icons — the Quadrifoglio. The emblem, first painted onto Ugo Sivocci’s Alfa Romeo RL when he won the 1923 Targa Florio, became the mark of the brand’s racing machinery for decades. In 1963 it shifted from the circuit to the road with the Giulia Ti Super, and from then on it distinguished Alfa Romeo’s most powerful and exclusive road-going models. That pivotal year forms the inspiration for this new Collezione series, which has been limited to just 63 units worldwide. Two Giulia units have been earmarked for the UK, while the rest will be distributed across Europe, the Middle East, China and Japan.
