Sabah voters urged to choose based on facts, not emotion

PKR vice-president R. Ramanan expresses confidence Sabah voters will base their ballot decisions on facts and reality rather than emotion in the state election.

KOTA KINABALU: PKR vice-president Datuk Seri R. Ramanan expressed confidence that Sabah voters will make their ballot decisions based on facts and reality rather than emotion.

Speaking after observing last-minute preparations at the Moyog State Legislative Assembly’s main operations room, he acknowledged the polls have been intense but highlighted the Federal Government’s demonstrated concern for the state.

“The MADANI Government has shown extraordinary commitment in safeguarding the interests of Sabah as a whole,” Ramanan told reporters.

He noted that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is the only Prime Minister to have most frequently visited Sabah to monitor development implementation.

Ramanan, who is also Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, said Sabah received the largest development allocation in history through the MADANI Budget.

He expressed confidence that voters will elect the best candidates for a more stable, prosperous and assured future.

Ramanan stressed that the current excellent relationship between the Federal and state governments must be maintained.

He said this friendly and close relationship is crucial for ensuring proper attention to the welfare of Sabah’s people.
