Tony Ferguson vs Khabib canceled again for the fifth time

PETALING JAYA: Once again, the most awaited fight amongst mixed martial arts(MMA) enthusiasts have been canceled for the fifth time.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was slated to fight Tony Ferguson in New York on April 18. However due to social distancing requirements, Ultimate Fighting Championship founder Dana White, insisted the fight will go on elsewhere with no audience.

This was the fifth time the fight was scheduled with many analysts saying this would be the hardest fight of Khabib’s MMA career. Tony Ferguson, known for his peculiar antics and even more peculiar yet effective fighting style has been offered to fight Justin Gaethje instead.

The four previous bouts scheduled between Tony and Khabib were canceled due to injury and doctor’s advice. Many MMA fans are disappointed with the cancellation, as this fight had the potential to seal Khabib’s legacy as the best lightweight or break it.
