Inter Miami bolsters its MLS Cup-winning squad by signing Canadian international and 2025 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Dayne St. Clair on a free transfer
INTER Miami have signed Canadian international goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair, the reigning Major League Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year.
The 28-year-old free agent joins the MLS Cup champions after his contract with Minnesota United expired.
St. Clair recorded 42 clean sheets in 159 appearances across all competitions for Minnesota since 2019.
He has 18 caps for Canada and aims to solidify his starting position ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which Canada will co-host with the United States and Mexico.
Inter Miami confirmed the signing through the 2026 season, with an option to extend until June 2027.
The club continues to strengthen its squad under Lionel Messi’s leadership to defend its first MLS Cup title won in December.
Recent acquisitions include Argentine defender Facundo Mura and Spaniard Sergio Reguilón, who replaces the retired Jordi Alba at left back.
The club has also renewed Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez for another season and exercised its purchase option for Argentine midfielder Rodrigo De Paul.
