Terengganu FC to appoint new head coach, identity undisclosed

Terengganu FC finalises new head coach appointment, with release letter pending, while dismissing links to Tan Cheng Hoe and Mohd Nafuzi Zain.

KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu FC is set to appoint a new head coach, though the club is not yet ready to reveal his identity.

Terengganu Football Association president Hishamudin Abdul Karim said the club has a suitable candidate and is finalising the hiring process.

This includes securing a letter of release from the coach’s current employer.

“The TFC board of directors and the club’s technical committee have agreed to appoint a new head coach to guide the Turtles,” he said.

He added that the role is currently being carried out by Tengku Hazman Raja Hassan.

However, the date of arrival for the new coach has not been determined.

Hishamudin also dismissed speculation linking Tan Cheng Hoe and Mohd Nafuzi Zain to the head coach position.

He said TFC is considering signing another import player in an attacking position during the second transfer window.

The transfer window will close at the end of the month.

TFC is currently fifth in the Super League standings with 24 points from 15 matches.
