Marcus Lim grabbed the early lead in Round 1 of the PGM Palm Resort Closed Championship 2025 with a four-under-par 68, finishing one shot ahead of Shariffuddin Ariffin and Edvin Ying.
Marcus carded six birdies against two bogeys, while Shariffuddin posted five birdies and two bogeys. Edvin delivered a flawless, bogey-free round with three birdies. Jaydon Pang, Nicholas Fung and Nor Heikal sit a further shot back at two-under, while Gavin Green opened with an even-par round.
In the Ladies Championship, Winnie Ng set the pace with a bogey-free four-under-par 68 to take a one-stroke lead over Liyana Durisic, with Aretha Pan just another shot behind.
The PGM Palm Resort Closed Championship 2025 offers RM180,000 in prize money for the men’s event and RM30,000 for the ladies, played at Palm Resort Golf & Country Club’s Allamanda Course (Par 72).
