Saw Teong Hinâs Puteri Gunung Ledang was Malaysiaâs first big-budget film that won over the nation with its impressive screenwriting, acting and soundtrack.
The film won five awards at the Malaysian Film Festival 2004 including best director and best screenplay. It was also the first local production to be submitted to the 76th Academy Awards in 2004.
