Exhibition allows fans of anime series to immerse themselves in captivating world

THEJujutsu Kaisen Experience” has opened its doors in Kuala Lumpur, marking the first pop-up event of its kind in Malaysia.

The event introduced the enchanting world of Jujutsu Kaisen, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the captivating universe of the anime series itself.

Since its debut, Jujutsu Kaisen has garnered global acclaim, earning recognition as the “Most Popular Anime of 2023” by Guinness World Records. With the third season in production, excitement among fans is at an all-time high.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching who shared her love for anime.

“Since childhood, I have enjoyed watching Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk and One Piece,” she said.

She stated that although she has not had the opportunity to watch Jujutsu Kaisen, she intends to do so with her son.

The exhibition is designed into three main zones. These zones include the anime-themed restaurant, Jujutsu Kaisen photo zone, and merchandise store.

Fans have the opportunity to savour a diverse range of Japanese fusion cuisine, explore a photo zone and browse through exclusive and limited-edition merchandise at the largest Jujutsu Kaisen merchandise store launched in Malaysia.

Organised by Aco Lab and Aco Media, the exhibition will run until July 27. It is located in the Pink Zone on the third floor of Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Aco Lab’s Anime-themed Restaurant offers a specially curated menu inspired by the main characters of the anime series, featuring Japanese cuisine, desserts, and beverages. The restaurant’s design incorporates various anime elements, with character patterns adorning meal boxes and cup holders. Large-scale models of fan-favourite characters Satoru Gojo and Yuji Itadori provide backdrops for fan photos.

Meanwhile, the Jujutsu Kaisen Photo Zone showcases five anime scenes, featuring life-size cardboard standees of main characters, villains and supporting cast. Fans can interact closely with their favourite characters and capture lasting memories.

The event also hosts Malaysia’s largest Jujutsu Kaisen merchandise store, offering over 120 exclusive limited-edition items, including T-shirts, collectable cards, acrylic standees, desk mats and more. The store provides a photo booth where visitors can take photos with their favourite character templates.
