A RM 108.75 bill was left unpaid by the five-member family after they left the restaurant.
The family of five visited the restaurant on Friday, Dec 15, at around 1:06 pm, and left with an outstanding bill of RM108.75, according to a recent Facebook post from the eatery.
Instead of jumping to conclusions, the restaurant management has assumed that the family may have forgotten about it.
“The parents and their three daughters were present. Assuming the mother had paid the bill, we assume that the father and the daughters proceeded to the bathroom.”
The post continued, “Or the mother fled because she believed the father had paid the bill after leaving the restroom.”
Not wanting to point fingers, the restaurant management has yet to release any CCTV footage or an image of the receipt.
The restaurant’s management emphasised in another post that they made last night on Dec 16, that they were unaware that their post would become viral on social media.
All they wanted to do was inform the family that they still owed them RM108.75.
“We wish to avoid drawing any hasty conclusions. Maybe it was exactly what we had predicted. It’s possible that they forgot.”
As of this writing, the family has not gotten in touch with the restaurant regarding the amount.
