A Perak woman allegedly fled her harasser by hiding in a water tank after stripping off unexpectedly.
Claiming to have done so for her own safety, a woman in Bagan Serai, Perak, startled spectators by climbing to the top of a water tank, stripping off, and then diving straight in.
Harian Metro reports that at approximately 2pm on Sunday (Dec. 17), the 39-year-old woman—preliminary investigations later found is married and had mental health problems — was observed accessing the property and scaling the Lembaga Air Perak (LAP) water tank.
Additionally, according to Kosmo, she unlocked the water valve on the tank and dumped her clothes and helmet on top of it, allowing water to pour via already-existing channels.
Superintendent Juna Yusoff, the chief of Kerian district police, stated that following a public report, a team of firefighters from the Bagan Serai Fire and Rescue Station hurried to the area.
He said that before the woman was sent to the Bagan Serai police station for additional action, the firefighters had successfully convinced her to exit the water tank.
“Preliminary inquiries revealed that the 39-year-old lady is a Kuala Lumpur resident who travelled by public transit to reach Bagan Serai.”
“She claimed that she climbed the water tank to hide from someone who was harassing her,“ he remarked.
