MALAYSIA was awarded a position in the global Top 30 list of Ultra Wealthy Individuals.

Additionally, Seasia Stats reports that Malaysia, with a sizeable UHNWI population of 754, Malaysia has won the 29th place.

Only five of the listed Southeast Asian countries made it into the Top 30, with Singapore leading the way at 17th place with an astounding tally of 4,783 UHNWI.

Thailand comes in at number 26 with 889 UHNWI, Indonesia comes in at number 24 with 1,479 UHNWI, and Vietnam comes in at number 30 with 752 UHNWI.

The United States has an amazing total of 225,077 UHNWI, which puts it in the forefront globally. China is in second place with 98,551, not far behind, while Germany is in third place with 29,021 UHNWI.

As to the Knight Frank Wealth Report 2024 rankings, Singapore has shown good performance in attracting developing wealth from countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

In the meantime, mainland China’s major center for wealth creation continues to be Hong Kong.
