Woman breaks up with boyfriend for not buying her a present for Christmas

For some, Christmas is the most wonderful time of year. But a lot of people can’t afford Christmas gifts, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

But for one woman, not receiving a Christmas present from her boyfriend was completely unacceptable.

In an anonymous post that was posted recently, a Taiwanese woman ranted online about how her boyfriend who had brought her to have a lovely Christmas dinner at a fine dining restaurant and given her flowers did not give her an official Christmas present.

When she asked her boyfriend about the whereabouts of her Christmas present, the man explained to her that the Christmas dinner and the bouquet of flowers were the intended Christmas presents.

Despite all he had done, this statement only increased her frustration.

“The fine dining dinner and flowers were really thoughtful gestures, however that was simply it. I did not receive any gifts at home. It was romantic at first but it quickly became a mood killer!”

She goes on venting that “Isn’t it common sense to give presents on Christmas Day?”

She added that her boyfriend only offered to make up for his ‘mistake’ by giving her a proper Christmas present when she was angry.

She doesn’t end there, stating that she was relieved that in the two months they have been together, they have only held hands and hugged one another.

“If you don’t have the budget, don’t be in a relationship!”

Her post definitely garnered negative reactions from netizens online who had much to say about it.
