BANGKOK: The chief secretary of the Defence Ministry, Datuk Seri Isham Ishak, visited the Defence and Security 2023 exhibition here in Bangkok together with a delegation. The exhibition, running from Nov 6 to 9, is seen to be able to promote and attract exhibitors to the Defence Exhibition Asia (DSA) & National Security Exhibition Asia (NATSEC ASIA) 2024.

The exhibition held at the IMPACT Arena, Exhibition and Convention Centre was participated by about 500 defence companies and security equipment manufacturers from 40 countries.

It is a platform to display the evolution of defence and security technology by various industry players from around the world.

Also present at the exhibition were the Malaysian Armed Forces chief General Tan Sri Mohammad Ab Rahman and the Malaysian ambassador to Thailand, Datuk Jojie Samuel.

In a statement, the organiser of DSA & NATSEC Asia 2024, DSA Exhibition and Conference Sdn Bhd, said it is a platform for industry players, the government, and defence and security agencies from various countries to gather and discuss for the purpose of building understanding and collaboration between all parties.

“Preparations for the upcoming edition of DSA & NATSEC Asia 2024, scheduled to take place from May 6 to 9, 2024, have already started.

“Supported by the success of DSA and NATSEC Asia 2022, the organiser is ready to provide the best for the upcoming edition.”

Among the international pavilions that have confirmed their participation at the DSA & NATSEC Asia 2024 are South Africa, Austria, the United States, China, the Czech Republic, German, Italy, France, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkiye and the United Kingdom.

DSA & NATSEC Asia 2024 has also received early participation from exhibitors such as Roketsan Missiles Inc, CANiK (Samsun Yurt Savunma A.S), FNSS, Aselsan, East Gear International, SWAT Footwear (M) Sdn Bhd and International Securities Sdn Bhd (ISC).

In the upcoming edition, the organiser also received participation from local exhibitors who are optimistic to increase the size of the exhibition space as proof of their confidence in this effective platform alongside world industry players. - Bernama
