During the interaction, Saifuddin voiced serious concerns about the safety of primary school pupils after learning that the alleged bullying incident involved elements of violence and potential weapons.

In a candid exchange captured on video, the minister questioned the young student directly about the circumstances of the bullying.

“They brought knives too? They hide them in bags? Knife or stick? Where did they hit you? Did they do this outside the school gate?” the minister asked, seeking to understand the severity of the situation.

The direct line of questioning revealed the minister’s alarm at the possibility of weapons being involved in what should be a safe educational environment.

According to preliminary information, the student claims to have been bullied by several other pupils, resulting in severe trauma and overwhelming fear. The psychological impact has been so significant that the child has refused to attend school.

The victim’s father explained to authorities that his son’s reluctance to go to school stems from genuine fear that the bullying incidents might repeat themselves, highlighting the lasting emotional damage caused by the alleged harassment.

Kedah police chief Datuk Adzli Abu Shah had reportedly confirmed that authorities are treating the matter with utmost seriousness. He announced that a follow-up investigation will be conducted at the school in the near future.

“That won’t do, we need to get him back to school. We’ll sort this out,” Adzli stated firmly, acknowledging both the need to resolve the bullying issue and ensure the student’s return to education.

In a lighter moment that showcased the human side of law enforcement, the police chief attempted to comfort and reassure the frightened child with a friendly gesture.

Using an informal, grandfatherly tone, Adzli told the student he could invoke the police chief’s name if faced with bullies again.

“If it gets difficult (if you’re scared), just mention Atuk’s name,” he said warmly, referring to himself in a reassuring manner that seemed designed to boost the boy’s confidence.

The touching exchange demonstrated the police chief’s commitment to making the student feel protected and supported by the highest levels of authority.

The encounter was recorded and uploaded to TikTok by user @misiupdate, where it quickly garnered significant attention from the public.

The video’s viral spread has brought wider awareness to the bullying issue and the serious response it has received from government and law enforcement officials.
