Iran reports 787 killed in US-Israel strikes on Iran

Iranian Red Crescent says 787 killed, 153 cities hit in over 1,000 attacks since US-Israel strikes began, with new explosions reported in Tehran.

TEHRAN: The Iranian Red Crescent said on Tuesday that 787 people have been killed nationwide since the United States and Israel began striking Iran.

The organisation stated the figure was based on field reports from its operational teams.

It said strikes since Saturday had hit 153 cities and more than 500 locations across Iran in more than 1,000 separate attacks.

AFP was not in a position to independently verify the casualty toll provided by the organisation.

Separately on Tuesday, loud explosions were heard in Tehran according to AFP journalists.

Iranian media also reported blasts in Karaj, west of the capital, and in the central city of Isfahan.
