Netizens slam a samosa vendor after a food reviewer gave a low rating of the samosas, citing empty filling and unprofessional behaviour from the owner.

A samosa vendor was recently called out over his response to a local food reviewer who gave a low rating to his product.
In a TikTok video, the reviewer sampled two samosas, ultimately giving both a 1.8 out of 10, stating that they were “consistently empty” due to a lack of filling.
Unsatisfied with the review, the samosa stall staff was seen calling out to customers, referring to the product as the newly dubbed “samosa angin”, according to a Threads post.
“Doesn’t he feel guilty for using photos that are totally misleading to customers? In the pictures, the filling looks generous, but when you buy it, it’s mostly empty.
“The owner’s attitude is terrible. Instead of improving, he chooses to mock the customer. This place definitely deserves to be boycotted,” the post read.
In a TikTok video, the samosa stall operator claimed that despite the reviewer’s 1.8 rating, he still had customers lining up to buy his products, arguing that everyone has “different tastes” when it comes to food.
Netizens also criticised the seller’s attitude, pointing out the contradiction in his response to the review.
“What’s funny is that he himself said that everyone has ‘different palates’ when it comes to food, but throws that out of the window when it comes to a reviewer judging the food based on their own palate,” one user noted.
