“Is it normal to become really quiet when working a 9–5 job and not talk at all with coworkers?
“I’ve been working here for two months now, and I can literally count how many words I’ve said. My social skills are basically gone at this point,” the post read.
The brutally honest confession quickly sparked reactions online, with many netizens saying modern office culture, exhaustion, anxiety and introverted personalities often make it difficult for people to socialise at work.
“It’s normal, but some people will look at us like we’re weird,” one user, alymyshh, shared.
“Just talk about work stuff, kid. The less gossiping, the less backstabbing. That’s actually a good thing,” ahmad.afiq.90 commented.
