PKR has not issued a blanket order on supporting GRS or BN candidates in Sabah’s state election, with decisions to be made individually based on winnability.
KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has not given its Sabah members any direction on which party to support in seats where Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Barisan Nasional (BN) are competing.
PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said the central leadership would decide on which candidates to endorse when the time comes.
“At the moment, there is no blanket order,” she said after officiating the ASEAN E-Commerce Conference 2025.
“We’ll do it on a case-by-case basis depending on which one is more winnable.”
Her comments came after reports that a PKR branch had pledged support for the BN candidate contesting the Tempasuk seat over the GRS candidate.
Polling day for the Sabah state election is set for November 29, with early voting taking place tomorrow.
