Pahang announces RM48 million special financial aid for state civil servants and incentives for federal staff, teachers, and graduates in 2026 budget.
KUANTAN: State civil servants in Pahang will receive special financial assistance equivalent to two months’ salary next year.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the aid involves a total allocation of RM48 million and will be paid in two instalments.
He announced this while tabling the themed 2026 Pahang State Budget at the State Legislative Assembly sitting in Wisma Sri Pahang.
The state government has also allocated RM3.75 million under the Pahang 1st Special Incentive for federal civil servants in the state.
This initiative grants RM200 each to 18,743 federal staff earning below RM3,000, with payment scheduled for 31 December.
“I hope that all state and federal civil servants will continue to stand firm with the state government,” Wan Rosdy said.
He urged them to strengthen their commitment and integrity to realise Pahang’s development agenda.
In supporting Islamic education, an additional RM100 allowance was announced for Quran and Fardhu Ain teachers in hostels.
This raises their total monthly allowance to RM1,000 per person.
An extra RM100 will also be given to each KAFA teacher across Pahang, involving a total allocation of RM3.66 million.
The state government has agreed to reduce religious school fees from RM490 to RM370, a drop of 24.5%.
Hostel fees for religious secondary schools will be cut from RM670 to RM560, a reduction of 16.4%.
To strengthen tahfiz education, RM1.8 million was allocated as a subsidy for Pahang State Tahfiz Kindergartens in all 42 constituencies.
This ensures children from B40 families are not left out of religious education.
A sum of RM7 million was also set aside to assist Pahang-born first-degree graduates who entered the workforce this year.
The funds are intended to ease their National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loan repayments. – Bernama
