Malaysian Civil Defence Force volunteer Mohamad Armin Zahryl receives top commendation after winning bronze in the 110m hurdles at the 2025 SEA Games.
KUALA TERENGGANU: The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) has honoured volunteer member Private (PA) Mohamad Armin Zahryl Abdul Latif for his medal-winning performance at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games.
The 20-year-old athlete secured a bronze medal in the men’s 110-metre hurdles with a time of 13.85 seconds.
APM presented him with the Chief Commissioner’s Certificate of Commendation during a ceremony at its headquarters in Kajang, Selangor.
The force stated that the award is its highest recognition for individuals who bring honour to the organisation and the country.
Recipients also receive a special emblem and badge as symbols of this honour.
In the final, Mohamad Armin Zahryl finished behind gold medallist John Christopher Tolentino of the Philippines (13.66 seconds) and Singapore’s Ang Chen Xiang who took silver (13.75 seconds).
APM expressed hope the award would motivate him and strengthen the force’s reputation for producing high-performing members.
