Police hunt suspects after attempted cable theft in Semenyih

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking several individuals linked to an attempted cable theft in the Sg Lalang area of Semenyih earlier today.

Kajang District Police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said a report on the incident was received at 2.08 pm.

The attempted theft is believed to have occurred around 9.30 am.

Authorities are working to trace and arrest the suspects, who were using a four-wheel drive vehicle and a motorcycle.

The case is being investigated under Section 379/511 of the Penal Code.

This section provides for a punishment of up to seven years’ imprisonment or a fine.

Naazron urged the public with information to contact the nearest police station.
