PETALING JAYA: Readers of The Edge publications can now virtually put their hands on The Edge's newspapers after the media company launched its digital replacement today.
The digital replacement can be subscribed through their website at http://subscribe.theedgemarkets.com, for a subscription fee of RM30 or more, for three months.
The digital versions of The Edge Malaysia and The Edge Financial Daily is available through a PDF format via email, or through subscriptions via iOS and Android smartphones, tablets and also a desktop version.
The Home Ministry had on July 24 announced the suspension of the publishing permit of both The Edge Weekly and The Edge Financial Daily, for three months effective July 27, for their reporting on the alleged misappropriation of funds involving 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
The Edge had said the letter from the Home Ministry stated that the two publications' reporting of 1MDB were "prejudicial or likely to be prejudicial to public order, security or likely to alarm public opinion or is likely to be prejudicial to public and national interest".
The letter added that the failure to stop publication for three months would also result in the withdrawal of The Edge's publishing permits.
