'Pretty' woman beaten up (UPDATED)

GEORGE TOWN: A compliment on social media that she was pretty led to a 28-year-old woman being beaten up by her boyfriend.
Northeast district police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said the 52-year-old man kicked and punched the woman at their home in Kampung Melayu here about 11.30pm last Thursday.
He said the victim sustained injuries on her body and had swollen eyes following the incident.
He said she immediately left the house and lodged a police report.
Initial investigations revealed that the incident was sparked after another man had praised the victim as pretty in social media.
Her partner learned about it and confronted his girlfriend before beating her up.
"They have a four -month-old daughter," Mior told a press conference.
Mior added police identified the suspect involved and were searching for him.
