Mother of three wins special award at Mampu's Excellence Services Award 2015 ceremony

PUTRAJAYA: Nik Zalbiha Nik Mat stands at only over one metre tall, but that has not stopped the information technology officer from excelling in her job at the Prime Minister's Department.
Held in high regards by her superiors in the Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu), she received the "Best of the Best" special award at the department's Excellence Services Award 2015 ceremony here today.
"I am independent and able to do things. I am like any ordinary person, able to provide services to the public, " said the 50-year-old mother of three who has been working in the public sector since 1998.
Nik Zalbiha has received the Excellent Services Award three times in the past - in 2001, 2007 and 2009.
Five disabled civil servants also received the award for excellent service during the ceremony today.
A total of 1,891 recipients from some 70 agencies and departments within the Prime Minister's Department received their awards from Public Service Department Director-General Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal.
