Police raid mini drug lab in Labu, seize drugs worth RM700,000

    SEREMBAN: A police team from the Nilai district narcotics department raided a mini drug processing laboratory that was hidden in a banana tree plantation in Labu near here, yesterday.
    Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Osman Salleh said during the 11am raid police detained a 38-year-old man at the house in the plantation and recovered cannabis weighing 473 grams inside the house.
    "The suspect later led police to a goat shed where powdered form and slabs of drugs, believed to be heroin, weighing 9,287 grams was found. Also found were equipment for processing drugs.
    "In a follow up operation, police found 12 packets of powdered and slabs of drugs, believed to be heroin, weighing 7,474.51 grams in a water tank at a poultry farm. Equipment used for processing drugs was also found," he told reporters here today.
    Osman said the total amount of drugs seized weighed 16,761.51 grams with an estimated value of RM700,761.
    "We believe the drugs processed here was sold in Negeri Sembilan and Selangor," he said. – Bernama
