Infant found abandoned in bushes named Muhammad Ehsan Adha

KUANTAN: The infant boy who was found in some bushes near the Desa Kenanga Muadzam Shah government quarters in Rompin near here on Aug 27, has been named as Muhammad Ehsan Adha.
Pahang Women and Family Development, Communications and Multimedia Committee chairman Datuk Shahaniza Shamsuddin said the baby was being housed in an institution under the Social Welfare Department (JKM), in accordance with the Child Act 2001.
"His health condition is satisfactory as he did not suffer from any injury apart from insect bites, probably due to being abandoned in the bushes for 24 hours.
"However, the insect bites have subsided and he looks more active now under the care of the JKM," she said when contacted here today.
It was reported that the baby, whose umbilical cord was still attached, was found wrapped in a plastic sheet with foul-smelling placenta in the bushes by a trader at 10.15pm. — Bernama
