Along with easing traffic congestion, the extension will allow easier and faster access to areas like Damansara Heights, Bangsar, Brickfields and the Kuala Lumpur central business district.
It will also offer alternative routes to townships like Taman Tun Dr Ismail and Bandar Utama, as well as the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP). The Hub @ SS2 is expected to be completed by mid-2018.
