KUALA LUMPUR: Jakel Defence Systems Sdn Bhd plans to invest between RM4 million and RM6 million to set up a manufacturing facility to produce ballistic protection products such as helmet and body armour in Malaysia soon.
The provider of specialised equipment will join hands with US-based Revision Military, a world leader in protective soldier solutions, to manufacture the products.
Jakel Defence director Saiful Izhar Senawi said the company and its partner are awaiting approval from the National Institute of Justice to build the plant either in Nilai, Negri Sembilan or Semenyih, Selangor.
