Multi-level parking at PA Desa Rejang, PPR Kampung Baru Air Panas to be ready this year

KUALA LUMPUR: The parking woes facing residents at the Kampung Baru Air Panas People's Housing Project (PPR) and the Desa Rajang Public Housing (PA) will be over with the completion of an eight-storey parking facility for each of the housing projects here by the end of this year.
Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the parking project for Desa Rajang PA, costing about RM35.2 million, could accommodate 667 vehicles, while the one at Kampung Baru Air Panas PPR, costing RM26.2 million, could accommodate 572 vehicles at one time.
"We are also planning to build car parks like in developed countries, such as Japan and the United Kingdom, which use metal decking," he said in his speech when opening a "Kenduri 1Wilayah Persekutuan" programme here today.
