PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Nur Najiha Azman Hisham and Filipina Marie Antoinette San Diego and drew their fourth round match today to keep their share of the girls' lead in the Eastern Asia Juniors Chess Championships in Tagaytay City.
Nur Najiha and fellow Woman Fide Master (WFM) San Diego and fellow climbed to 3.5 points, towing 3.0 pointers WFM Nur Nabila Azman Hisham of Malaysia and China's Ruotong Chu.
Nur Najiha and Nur Nabila are sibilings.
Indonesian Novenda Priasmoro beat compatriot and fellow FM Yoseph Theolifus Taher to gain the solo lead in the boys division. Priasmoro rose to a perfect 4.0 points, a full point ahead of Filipino International Master Paulo Bersamina, Stephen Rome Pangilinan, John Marvin Miciano and Taher.
